A child’s educational cycle from 3 to 6 years of age is a sensitive period when a child’s intelligence begins to develop. The program focuses on motricity, and the intellectual, emotional and social development aspects of the child. The most important objective for this cycle is for the child to acquire self confidence and trust towards adults, to become independent, to learn to concentrate and to discover the joy of learning.
This program has been specially designed to allow a child’s intellectual development to begin and flourish. Early reading and writing are offered, as well as an introduction to mathematics and science through the educational material used by the teachers. This 3-6 cycle includes the ‘Petite section’, ‘Moyenne section’ and ‘Grande section’ from the French ‘Éducation Nationale’ system.
In Preschool, 50% of the lessons are in French, and 50% are in English. Teachers speak in their mother tongue.
